To get your phone COMPLETELY back to stock you will have to reflash the /preinstall folder on the stock side. Safestrap alters this folder. Otherwise, you MAY not get the next OTA update.

We don't wants their nasssty chips. Um... I mean, I don't want any OTA update from Verizon. Wifi Tether paywall and all that bullcrap. I'll update to ICS once that OTA pushed version has been properly tamed by proper devs. Running Eclipse 2.2 now, and it tethers flawlessly. It's the only way for me to get consistent service. PDANet has a weak driver somewhere, because it breaks the connection every 5-10 minutes under hard usage (like Netflix).

Just use the built in usb tether rather than PDA net then.
