How to stop spam texts in Handcent?

I keep getting spam texts from www.cashgetter.com. Does anyone know how to stop this?

Have you tried texting them the word "stop"?

That works with a lot of those deals.

I haven't because I was afraid that by responding something would get downloaded to my phone.

In handcent, in your list of message threads, hold-click the message thread from the spammer so the pop up menu comes up, and select "blacklist". Within handcents options you can chose blacklist settings, like whether you want to still see the thread and just not get notified, or never see the thread at all. Technically your phone is still receiving the messages but you won't see them or be notified for them.

Thanks. I found out how to block sms spam via Verizon's web site. At Verizon's web site, if you log into your account and go to text messaging, you can block all texts from the web or select domains to block texts from.
