GOT IT! I had a repeating tone driving me crazy and after checking the forums, deleting apps and yelling at settings, it appeared that the only option was to turn to silent.
Just figured out that it is happening because I recently added one of those card holders to the phone case to hold a credit or access card. The problem is that the new phones can act as a paywave / proximity card and reader, so when I have a credit card or other electronic proximity card next to the phone, the unit notifies you again and again that the card has been read.
