how to root the droidX2 for dummies.

hello everyone....would someone please walk me through how to root android 2.3 on my droid x2?
It seems to be really technical and z4root wont work unless i downgrade to 2.2 but i dont how to do any of that.

oh ok i see...however it appears to apply to 2.2 im running 2.3 not sure it'll work. But hey thanks for leading me in the right direction.

It will. THE ONLY way to root a X2 and have a Gingerbread version of Android is that method. And it doesn't matter what state your phone currently is because the first step is the SBF flash BACK to 2.2
