How to pop-up calendar reminders like the alarm?

Is there a way to have calendar reminders pop-up like the alarm does? Basically taking over the screen? I don't care if there is not constant sound/vibration- I would just like to have the reminder take over the screen so when I look at the phone I see it.

There is always so much activity in the bar at the top of the phone that I almost always overlook if there is a past-due reminder. I wish I could set the bar up so only calendar reminders and k9 email notifications were displayed up there!

While in Calender. "Menu" then "Settings" then "Set Alerts & Notifications" - Then the option you want is "Alert". White screen will pop up on whole screen...show event and give two buttons..."Snooze" or "Dismiss" I believe.

Thanks. Is there a way to select a custom snooze time when the alert is displayed?

I always disliked not being able to do that with my Blackberry. I don't think Microsoft has a patent on that, do they?
