How to increase droid bionics battery life?

I have had my droid bionic for about 2 weeks, and my battery has only been lasting for 9 hours with LIGHT use. I have the standard battery that came with my droid. I will unplug my droid bionic at 6 and by 7 it will drop to 90 or 80% with only 2 emails read and maybe 5 texts. I have turned off 4g because its not yet available in my area. So how can i make my battery last at least 3 more hours? With staying with my current battery. Thanks

The thing I've found to help mine...a data switch...it turns off the data completely! I do that and my battery lasts for almost 2 days. Still have the capability to text and talk, and i use available wifi when i can.

What do you mean a data switch?
And can i turn data on and off instantly? because i use email regularly

Yep....on and off like a light switch. I use my email regularly too...but where I work, the phone is constantly trying to find a signal. So the data switch saved me from buying another battery and carrying it to replace. Lol.
