How to get rid of the tome in the notification bar

I'm running Liberty 1.5 and am fairly new to this. I was wonderng if there is a way to get rid of the time up in the notification bar?

So does this remove it or turn it black so it doesnt show in a black bar? Also does it work for dx? It says for d2...
