How to get pics off phone

I know there is an SD Card in the Droid. How do I get the pics I take to my computer without having to send by email?

You can upload them to Picasa, Twitter, and transfer them through Bluetooth and Messaging - as in Text.

Also, if you cnnect your phone via USB cable, you can go to SD > DCIM on your computer and just click and drag...

Of course take the sd card out and put in a card reader. May need a micro sd to standard sd card adapter.

when removing the SD card from my Droid X is there anything I need to do prior to shutting the phone off? I noticed in the Settings-> SD Card & Phone Storage...there is an option for Unmount SD Card and I am not sure what that actually means or if I need to do that operation first before removing the card.
