How to get into clockwork recovery when phone bootlooping

When my phone messes up and is stopped on the Motorola symbol or when is bootlooping (mainly first option care about),
I have heard you can still get into clockwork to restore a android backup. What methods to accomplish this work on d2g??

Rev's trick....

On a computer with adb installed

adb shell "echo 1 > /data/.recovery_mode; sync;"
adb reboot

and it'll reboot into recovery... saved my a$$ on many times recently, lol

^The above works on cm/2nd init roms, not sure if it works on normal roms. You could just try battery pulls.
