How to disable predictable text or auto correct?

When texting, my phone never corrects a word that i actually mispelled but when i type in txt or the D word, it'll change it even though i meant to type it that way.

you will need to go to settings --> Language and keyboard --> and then select the setting for the keyboard you are currently using. let me know if that helps
