how to change accounts on my Android Phone

I have an LG Optimus Elite running GingerBread. I have two google accounts. How do I switch accounts? How do I tell which account the phone is using?

I have searched all over the internet and I read that I should go to Google Play > Settings but nothing there answers either of these questions.

Somewhere in settings is an accounts section and should be displaying the Google account in use. To change accounts, remove (delete) that account, restart then add an account back using the other credentials.

In the new play store, swipe in from left.

At the top is the drop down to select which account to use for play.


Edit: not quite sure what you are after, the above will only change what account play will use. Nothing else.
