How hot is too hot?

I'm running Pete's BB.4 with Chevy ultra low v 1Ghz and have set CPU setup to alert me @ CPU over 47C. I get over that using the internet and when using my slingbox moble player. Do I have my profiles set to low or should I be concerned about the heat my CPU and battery are generating. Noob here, any enlightenment will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That's hotter than my home computer gets. I'd say it's too hot for a phone.

I'd say try a different kernel. It could be that that particular one doesn't play well with your phone, maybe instead of being ULV, go LV.
