How do you get rid of Facebook contacts??

mishmash

OK, I am on Facebook and (don't laugh) love playing Farmville. But, as many people have done, I have accepted MANY "friends" I don't even know, all over the world. Has never been a problem until I sync'd my Incredible with Facebook, and now any "FB friends" that have their phone # listed on thier FB profile are now in my phone :icon_eek:

I have already dialed 3 of them by accident while trying to figure outhow to delete them. Is there any way to delete these people?? I don't want to "un-sync" my FB contacts cause a lot of them are my friends and I like having their avitar's linked on my phone. I realy don't want to accidently call India again. thanks

Easy, go to the facebook app and press the settings key, scroll to the bottom of the settings list and select "sync contacts" then it should give you an option to sync all, or remove all from your phones contacts

facebook contacts

Open your contacts app and go to display options. Open the email associated with your facebook account and uncheck the contact button.

the incredible

My comment was directed to the droid phone. Don't know how to do it on the incredible.

On the Incredible you go to People>Menu>View. Uncheck FB...:icon_ banana:
That box IS unchecked on my phone. The FB contacts are not listed under People (though, my true family and friends do have the FB mark on their faces). It's when I go to Phone and it lists all my contacts and ALL FB "friends" that have phone numbers. And, of course, the ones at the top, that are easiest to accidently touch, I don't even know.

I was thinking of puting a post on my FB wall telling my "friends" that if the receive a call/hang up from a 530 area code that it was just me messing with my new phone, and letting them know that if they have their phone # listed, it is automatically loaded onto the DROID.

I deleted the app. It's an obnoxious "feature". I called Romania once by accident and they shut down my authentication. There's no way to get rid of it from what I can tell. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

I know exactly what you mean... When you call people just have the people widget on the front screen.. and eventually when you hit that phone button it brings up the history of your calls and you never see those facebook people youll never call..
