How do the apps work exactly

Sorry about this but i dont even have my phone yet. i'm getting it this weekend but how exactly does buying the apps work?
is there a verizon app store AND a droid app store?

verizon has its section but its still part of the android market. to buy apps, you must enter a credit card to use with google checkout. it processes the payment then you can download the app. you also have 24 hrs to see if you like it or not bc theres the return policy too

No... it's not really anything like games you would purchase from the VZW store on a dumb phone. If you have ever used an iPhone or iTouch it is very similar to the apple marketplace.
