How do I make sticker widgets for android?

I was just wondering about how I could make little character stickers or widgets for my home screen, I noticed in the android market they don't really offer a lot except some zelda widgets and random other ones, mostly clocks and stuff... but I would like to jazz up my screen with my own little characters, I don't really want them to do anything just be there for appearance.. and I have been looking up all over to figure out how to make them but I'm clueless.. If there is an app or a way to do so I would really appreciate anyone's help. I'm really new to Android and a little clueless but I'm willing to learn =] Thanks!

I haven't messed with it much, but it's straight forward. You can find your own images on Google to use. If you need to resize any images you found, there apps on the market for that.
