How do i get a different keyboard?

im wondering if its possible to get a different keyboard in the landscape mode of my droid. maybe something like a standard keypad or a two letter key set-up like the blackberry storm?

I dont follow. You mean portrait mode? You can replace any of the soft keyboards, and there are hundreds of them out there, just search "keyboard" on the market place.
