How do I enable Google Now?

I believe that once you have Google search active, then tap the menu (3dots) and tap settings and tap Google Now. There should then be an option to turn On.

Once there you can swipe down on the keyboard and get rid of it. I put the Google app on the desktop and it goes right to Now. There must be an easier way, someone will find it and chime in soon.

I just found that pressing the search and then pressing the return goes into Now.

I never enabled this, but if I swipe upwards from the very bottom of my phone, like between the "back" and "home" buttons, it brings up Google now and all the cards and everything. I thought it was like this for the entire new RAZR line, but maybe that's not the case.

Does Google Now work with any browser, or does it require Chrome?

Ok I think I know what you are asking. Tap on your search window so the keyboard pops up, click on the 3 bars in the bottom left corner on phone and then tap the "Settings": option. there will be an option to turn on "Google Now"

Google Now is a widget that is part of Google Search. Try Apps } Widgets. Then drag the Google Now widget to an open screen. It will take most/all of a spare screen. Google Now will ask for permission to start. If it says "no cards" try a Google search. This should activate Google Now. Google Now might also need permission to sync with email and calendar.
