Only if u get all ancy on having all updates, but for this particular phone, no because honeycomb or android 3.0 will be mainly for dualcore processors and of course these are single so gingerbread will come out before xmas probably so no worries id get the global cuz its keyboard is so much nicer or the x for the size and virtual keyboard size
