How Compatible are the Hero & Eris?

I know that the Hero (Sprint) and Eris (Verizon) are meant to go on different networks and all that. They're ESN-locked & whatnot.

My biggest question is if it's reasonable/possible to use ROMs meant for the Hero on an Eris. I'm having issues with the latest KaosFroyo (v38 as of this writing) and I'm wondering if a custom ROM for the Hero might play nice on the phone too.

Won't work. Its like DX and DW ROMs aren't compatible even though those phones have pretty much identicle hardware. You can only use ROMs made for your phone.

Don't know about a Hero rom. Sorry.

FWIW, I use the xtrSense 4.7 ROM on my Eris and it's great...
