How can i UNLOCK it ? -- SOLVED --

Hello,

A friend of mine has just bought a HTC Incredible 2 from Verizon.
He was on USA for a few days, and the seller told him that the cellphone is able to be unlocked, he also gave him a NETWORK MEP CODE to use, once he insert the BRAZILIAN chip into the cellphone, that a pop-up screen would show and he just have to type it.

Well, we did it, but the screen does not show, only a warning message saying that the SIM CARD is not valid, and that I have to insert a valid VERIZON SIM CARD.

I’ve searched all over internet, and got a answer saying “ The incredible S and incredible 2 are just the same cellphones, but the incredible 2 cannot be unlock”.
I would like first to know if that is true, and if it is not, if there is anyway to unlock it, without using the IMEI code (since it is not showing the unlock pop-up screen)

Hello Everyone, i have fould the answer for that.

If you have this cellphone and the unlock screen is not showing up, there is a way to open it.

Go to Menu > Settings > Securty > Unlock SIM.

Then you can type your unlock code and the phone is free !
