Hope this isnt against rules.. I have a water damaged droid 1...Options Please...

I have a approx six month old Droid 1 that will not power on due to water damage. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do with it, where to sell it, or more importantly, how much I can get for it? New Droid X should be delivered to me on 08/25/2010. Any help would be appreciated!!

I found this tip online:

Use a heat gun to evaporate the water in the droid.

Take out the battery and run the heat gun on low for 10 mins.

Then you can recover your data.

I would love to turn it on and recover data like contacts and apps but it will not turn on. It got wet on the 7th and I tried to turn it on shortly after it got wet. I think i fried it! From what I understand, I can swith mem cards with the droid x coming Wed to retrieve my music and pics. Also get access to my paid and unpaid apps by signing in to gmail. Just not sure how to get my contacts. Its been dry for awhile I think, but still wont turn on. Am I correct on this?

Contacts should be pushed back to the device from Google.

Wet Droid

Ok so I got my droid wet, dried it out and it was working for a whole day I took a few pics and then when the flash went off the phone screen went black with no power. I tried a new battery...no dice. The sd card is fine and I have all my pics etc. etc. However I would like to recover info like memo pad and memories app stuff. Any advice on how to get some of this off the phone if it doesnt turn on? Is it possible to have somebody take the hard drive out and retrieve info that way?
