Huawei had been teasing their CES announcement for about a week or so leading up to the event. The main theme of the teasing was "Double or Nothing". This hinted at the use of a dual lens camera setup, and this is exactly what we got! Other than the dual lens camera we get a 5.5" Full HD display, Huawei's Kirin 655 processor, 3GB and 4GB RAM options, 32GB and 64GB storage options, expandable storage, Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1, fingerprint scanner, 3340mah battery , and fast charging. According to Huawei the phone gets 2day+ battery life. They tested the battery with benchmarking tests and figured that the phone can get 2.15 days of battery life with 23 hours of air time under "extreme circumstances". It is nice to see a handset at this price point focusing so heavily on battery life. Maybe the thin as air flagships should take note!

The phone is priced at $249 for the base model with 3GB of RAM. The pre-sale of the device goes live today. There is also a flash sale planned for January 12th starting at 12PMCST. During the sale you can get $50 off the purchase of the phone. The first 300 to jump on the deal also get a case, earbuds, and selfie stick for free. The phone will begin shipping on January 15th. The software may still be questionable, but adding a custom launcher and making a few tweaks in the settings makes this device a main contender for the Budget Phone Champion!
