go into Setting -> screen setting and make sure "auto rotate screen " is checked...

I noticed that the home screen does not rotate unless I have the keyboard out. Installing Launcher Pro has resolved this issue, though (as well as completely improved the home screen to the point that it feels like a brand new phone nearly).
