Hi, new here, very likely getting my first android phone soon

No matter what google says they did just buy motorola, motorola seems to be sturdy, htc has good hardware, but the sense ui is a resource hog, samsung generally doesn't do many updates. It seems that every phone and the companies that make them have their flaws and no matter when you buy one their will more than likely be a new one in a few weeks

Welcome to the site. I used to be quite happy with my Motorola RAZR, would consider getting one of the new ones, but Verizon is what turns me off there. Sorry can't be of much help. Think all have their pros and cons.
