Have them download Foxfi from the market . It's suppose to have been fixed to work with Jellybean now from what I've read .

If it doesn't work there is a thread with a link to root and WiFi hack. As long as you follow the instructions works flawlessly. Instruction is simple to follow.

Before I rooted I used pdanet+foxfi app to cable tether but got sick of it real quick because I had to download the pc version on my laptop also and the speed were not as friendly as wifi which seems wrong but idk.. So I used what the poster above me said and rooted plus used the wifi crank and now I couldn't be happier especially since rooting only took 5-10 minutes... Something to think about.
