Hi everyone!

Hello everyone. I made this forums account back in Nov. 2010 on the preface that I might need some kind of tech support for my first smartphone, a DX. I never really had any problem that I couldn't fix by myself in less than 24 hrs.

I have a little dilema though. My parents gave me the phone as a sixteenth birthday present. I went from a Motorola Razr with spotty T-mobile coverage to this amazing smartphone. Now I realize that 4g has been around for a little bit and there is a line of some new droids. Some of friends are saying that my phone is outdated (even when none of them have anything comparable to a smartphone).

Is this awesome piece of technology really that outdated? Is 4g the factor that decides if my phone is outdated? I mean I don't even know if 4g is available in my area.

welcome. did u already get the OTA update? if ur fine with 3G then u don't need to go out and get a new device to get 4G. that's IMO anyway.

Thanks for your input. I wanted some opinions on 4g. I guess now I want to know how big the 4g coverage will be at my upgrade date in Apr 2012.

I can tell u that for me, it wont be any time soon but im content. I think until the expansion is fully nation wide a lot of ppl are toggling between their 3G and 4G switch.
