Helping a friend

1st sorry im not a good forum searcher in case this exists already....
everytime my friends eris does a update it wipes out all the area codes in her contacts list and w/out them the caller id doesnt work so each update she has to re-enter the area codes... any help or fix is greatly appricated..

well it is now day 5 since i posted this question asking for someones help so i can help out a friend of mine and have gotten 76 views and no responses.. can someone please help.. she is very frustrated..

If I knew the answer I would post, but I have a Droid and am just a casual user with some root access and roms.

Did you try to do a backtory restore? That's what I would do.
