Hello, my name is Willyam and I am having a heck of a time my Galaxy 5. The problem is my phone keeps giving me a prompt: No signal found for mobile networks. But when I have wifi my phone works fine. Is this a common problem? Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum

You may have a bad SIM card or it may be a problem with it not being seated well. Do you have a carrier you can take it to to check it?

Does it happen in multiple locations?

Thank you for the fast response. My carrier is T-Mobile and it happens where ever there is no wifi. My 4g doesn't work.

Welcome to the Forum.

Also try removing the battery for 10 minutes.

@willyam37, have you taken notice what your signal levels are in your area for the 3G/4G service? It is quite possible that you are in an area where the carrier you have chosen (T-Mobile), may have limited coverage and so the phone is telling you that it can't see signals from the towers. Since you have WIFI, it will work while in range of WIFI but if WIFI is turned off the phone will complain that it has no signal.
