Help with swype on SSX

I just downloaded the swype beta, and I have been trying to get it to work...and I go into my language settings and I turn it on and set up the settings the way I like it, than I uncheck my swiftkey which I was previously using. I than go into my text messaging and long press->input method and swype does not show up....however swiftkey still does and is still my default keyboard despite the fact that I previously unchecked it in the language settings. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue, although I had downloaded the T9 app when it was free on amazon appstore Amazon.com: FlexT9 'Speak. Trace. Write. Tap.' by Nuance: Appstore for Android

I was able to use that. Not sure why, as they both access the system and I thought that was the reason for the issues with swype.
