help with my email

So I've had an iphone forever, and im happy to say I just got my first Droid. I have the Samsung Galaxy S3.

I am having problems with my email. Mainly Yahoo and my corporate emails. I will have all of them "read" and then within a day or two, 20 more emails from 3 weeks ago will pop up as unread. Also, sometimes after I delete a message, it pops right back in as a new email.

I could use some help to fix these issues.
