Help with Google Calendar Sync

I have a Google calendar which I use to sync my Outlook calendar to my Blackberry calendar. I upgraded my wife to a Droid yesterday, and thought it would be easy to sync the Droid to my same Google calendar, but it doesn't appear so. It looks like the only thing I can sync is the new Gmail account they installed at the store. Am I missing something? I can't believe a phone advertising Google can't sync to a Google calendar. Thanks for any help.

go to your google calendar you want on the droid. click settings on that calendar. then share that calendar and share it with the email address you set up for the droid. then go to the new calendar and you will be able to have the shared calendar
