Hello all. I'm new to the forum and looking for some help. I'm not sure exactly where to post this but I will try here and if it needs to be moved I am sorry.
I have a Droid 2 Global I got a few weeks ago. The battery lasts about 10 hours with minimal use and about 4-6 with a ton of use.
My daily use is texting a lot (maybe a hundred or so a day), Email, Facebook, Twitter and other little apps. I constantly go to Task Manager and kill aps after use and added things to the Auto Kill in task manager (although doesn't seem to do what it says it should).
Now I am going on a trip on friday and I won't have access to any sort of charger for a good 12 or so hours and really want to use my phone fully (youtube, facebook, email, music) which I got the phone for. I specifically picked this phone just so I could spend the day going on all of these sites and being connected without problem and knowing people with BBs who do that all the time I jumped at the opportunity to get a droid and I love the keyboard and the OS I just can't help but think I should be able to get a full day of use (6am-9pm) using things on the phone like the browser, texting, phone calls without constant charging. Do you guys have any suggestions or anything to help me make it so I can actually spend my trip using my phone to its potential and going on youtube and facebook and things like that without worrying constantly about my battery? I don't think I have a faulty battery. I was told these phones typically have a "calibration" period so I have yet to charge my battery without it completely dieing to make sure I am using it completely to help with that.
Please anything will help.
Thank you.
