Help with a friends droid X

Dugly

New Member
A friend brought me his droid x he was messing with. It is stuck in a loop I belive. When you turn it on it goes right to the bootloader
30.04
err:A5,70,70,00,1F
Mem_Map Blank.
So from reading up on it I need to flash the sbf file.
I got ahold of what I believe to be the correct file for this phone.
VRZ_MB810_2.3.32_1FF_01
I run rsdlite 4.8
The Phone is recognized.
I select the sbf file. Click Start it createimage file then fails right after 100% of creating image file.
Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?
Thanks for any help...
Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

It might be helpful, it might not. I was curious in case it was. :)

MemMap Blank usually indicates a bad SBF flash or a MAJORLY botched ROM install. Usually.

Okay, have you tried different USB ports on the PC?

Willing to try anything.
What version should I d/l and I guess I will have to find a tutorial on it. Ive played with linux a little but I am so far from an expert . I hope it will work and its not to difficult. I will try that in the morning need to get up at 6. Thank you for the help. I will post back in the morning.( hopefully with a success)

The instructions (at least in brief) are in that link I asked about earlier.

Good luck! Posting in that thread might get help from the thread's creator/maintainer as he's familiar with the specific method. :)
