Well, what are you trying to install? But the basics are:

You need clockwork installed. You need to use bootstrap to boot to clockwork. Install from SD card, and then search and apply the zip

There are different procedures to using the update.zip. Some people delete the current update.zip, on the root of the SD Card, and make their own update.zip that contains different items in it to update to the ROM, theme, and other stuff.

Let us know what you're wanting to learn with the update.zip or try to do and we'll give you some suggestions.

i need to know how to install some of the add-ons for the theme epicblue n bold like for the market he gives us... any help? i appreciate it
