update works no problem from XDA drop to root of SDCard and reboot into recovery and apply update.zip and then re-root with z4root

You shouldn't need to unroot.

Regarding other issues with running the update.zip and/or the OTA failing...
The thing most people don't understand is that the update.zip doesn't replace files, it patches them. So if you have modded your phone, frozen apps in titanium, loaded a ROM, removed or replaced some system apps, etc.), anything that would make any one of the files it is going to try to patch be a version that it's not expecting, then the patch will simply fail.

That is the link I used last night and it works.

I did just like Superhack did, however I unfroze the blur apps that I had frozen before I did the update.
