HELP! spilled beer on my speaker

i was playing music on my galaxy s 3 and accidentally spilled beer on it...it started making a crackling noise and the music became very distorted...i turned the phone off and placed it in uncooked rice in an air tight container pretty quickly... just curious if anybody else has ever done the same thing and if the rice will be able to save my speaker or if it is permanently damaged? Thanks in advance for the help...sorry if this is in the wrong forum

Well I submerged my whole phone once, did the rice trick, seemed to work the next day, but after that everything was messed up somehow. The problem is going to be the stickiness from the beer moreso than the fact it got wet. I'll be the bearer of bad news here.....it might help....but don't get your hopes up. :sad:
