Help Shutting off apps

Ok...newbie here, just got this phone - Droid Bionic.
I am running realaudio app.
When playing songs...and I am done. How do I shut off the app and stop the music?
Sorry....like I said, newbie

I haven't used this particular app but alot of times if you use your back key to get out it will quit the app or press the settings key and there could possibly be an option to quit there...

In my experience with music apps, you just pause playback and return to the homescreen. The music app will then just close on it's own when resources are needed for other apps/services.

Hitting the pause button and leaving the app is equivalent to turning it off
