Help put the FACEBOOK SYNC issue to bed?

GF just bought a DROID X yesterday. She had all her contacts from her old Sprint Phone transfered over to the X. Then she set up facebook.
Now on my DROID 1, I have the option to sync all FB contacts, or just ones on my contact list in my phone. Her FB app doesn't have this, and syncs ALL contacts. Is there no way to only sync those in her contact list? Also, I uninstalled the FB app, and for some reason left all those contacts in her list.

not sure why it does this, but moto blur cannot sync just exhisting contacts...it is annoying

she needs a blurless ROM like Liberty or Rubix focused. i believe it is the contacts/phone.apk that causes the issue. and i dont think you can install the AOSP dialer on a blur phone.
it is a known, and loathed issue around here.

to get rid of the contacts, she has to go into settings/accounts then delete the facebook account. she can then sign into the app and just choose not to sync contacts at all...it sucks, but its the only way short of rooting/romming
