i know this isnt the xoom forum but im debating on whether to get a xoom or samsung galaxy 10.1 and i know you guys have good opinions. please?

Depends. If you love having a device that's light, and comparable to the ipad in size, build quality, etc... then the tab is good. But if you want more connectivity options and supposedly quicker updates (as its supposed to be the flagship Honeycomb device), then the Xoom is your baby.
