Help please!! Droid 2 problem Message Save

Today I had to take my Droid 2 (2 weeks old) to Verizon for a hard reset(5 now since purchase) back to factory since it had been going to black screen on boot quite often. Now when I receive a text message with a attachment it plays like a video. I want to save the pics to my phone but when I long press it does not have the option to save to sd card. Just has view slideshow,open message etc. And b4 it showed the attachment as soon as I opened it but now I have to download it? It did save them prior to reset and worked fine. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am running stock everything including messaging. Hope this makes sense, just do not know how to save the attachments now or set it back like before??
