HELP - lost a video file

A video file I shot mysteriously disappeared from my Gallery! I can't imagine accidentally deleting it, since that takes a few steps to do. Is it gone forever, or is there some "trash bin" somewhere that I might be able to find it.

And of course, it is one that I reallly wanted to keep and export off the phone.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Man that sounds like real bummer. Have you gone to the camcorder and clicked on the little box that shows your last video/picture? It may be in there. Or try going to export as though it was there to see if its there but the phone just isn't recognizing that it has it in the Gallery. As far as I know there is no Trash Bin. Best of luck to getting your video back!

The only thing I can think of is that I accidentally deleted the file - by touching the wrong things at the wrong time... I bought a download program that can salvage files and it seems have found it, but it won't play. Now I have to see if I can find something to uncorrupt it.

Well that's a step towards your goal. The android market seems to have just about everything. What won't it play on exactly? The phone or your computer? Because if its your phone then id say export it to your computer and try there. It probably wouldn't make a difference but worth a shot. If you've already done that then best of luck. I've salvaged a video off of my computer before but it was corrupt in that it had no video track according to programs. I'm sure there's a program out there to fix that problem. I just never looked. Hope you can get your video playing :D
