Help getting pointed in the right direction

Ello all.

Used to lurk on this site for the longest time when I rooted my OG droid and droid 3. Now I have a Razr M and I'm wanting to root it. Just trying to figure out which stickies are relevant to me. I'm not 100% certain if the xt912 root processes will work on my M. Just looking for a little insight.

Current System Version - 98.12.4.XT907 w/ 4.1.1.

Got that done, BUT... When attempting to verify that I have root I get a prompt stating that There is no SU Binary installed, and Super SU cannot install it.

Not really sure where to go from here.

Thinking I may have to go back to ICS and then re-attempt the method posted above.
