HELP! Droid X in Bootloop

dez

New Member
I installed the liberty red droid ROM now my phone has been in a boot loop for over 10 minutes now, i did wipe the data and cache before hand and tried to do the hard reset or whatever and nothing happens, do i just battery pull? i did a back up before i installed it, i just dont know how to get out of this??

Did you try booting into stock recovery and doing a factory reset?

-Pull Battery
-Power phone on holding power button and home key
-Wait for the android and triangle to pop up. Press your search key
-Do a factory reset, then reboot

It should work after this, it usually fixes mosts problems like this.

Another thing you could is to boot directly into Clockwork and restore a backup.

-Battery Pull
- Turn Phone on, as soon as the Motorola M pops up (or Liberty Logo whatever) HOLD DOWN both Volume keys

Should take you directly to clockworkmod

Good luck

Thanks I didnt know you could do that. Actually what I did last night to get it to work was I battery pulled and took the sd card out then booted up the phone and it automatically went into the bootstrapper clock work mode then from there i put the sd card back in and restored my phone back and now it works just fine again :) so for anyone else that has any problems could try that.

FYI...When installing themes, there's no need to wipe data. Battery pull or stock recovery will normally bring you out of a bootloop.
