Help Choosing New Battery

extra battery

get the extended Moto Droid 2 battery that comes with a matching back plate from Verizon for about $50

Or go on eBay and get a supposedly "OEM" (but most likely not) battery for under $5 and an external wall charger for about $5 and just swap the original battery with the cheapie. By the time the cheapie dies, the original will be recharged and ready to be put back. This way you avoid having to tie your phone to the charger when you need it with you.

I have the Droid 2 extended battery and the stock one in a separate charger and having two batteries is great. I use up my battery as much as I like, come home slap in the new battery and go. The down side is the Droid 2 battery is only 23% bigger and of course 23% more is good but,,,,

I sometimes long for a "car" battery. Like I had on my Treo and would get days without a charge. With that phone the huge bulge on the back actually helped you hold it, but I'm not so sure with the Droid 1.

Docks wont work
cases wont fit
maybe belt clips will still work because they grip at the edges?
