i've got 2 jailbroken iphones, 2 jailbroken 4gTouchpads, a jailbroken IPad, a HTC Eris running Kaos Froyo ROM, and a Droid X which i just upgraded to GummyJar 2.5.
The first time I rooted the X i actually did it using SADK? (ADB) & th4ge PC. Linux commands I guess. Saw a bunch of stuff about "ten thousand horns of unicorns?" After a Verizon upgrade killed the Root, I went on youtube, where you can learn how to do almost anything, & was instructed on how to do a one click Root.
I love the custom ROMs. that's a cut above the iphone world! but i miss the quick response time to the iphone & touch. Maybe the dual core processors will help. I used the rooted Droid X to give wireless tether to the Ipad & 4G Touch Ipod
