Its really cool to have such a forum available for us Droid folk. I have a Motorla Droid and I would like to learn all of the neat & cool things that I can do with it unrooted and if I choose to later on rooted.

I'm kind of scared to go on with rooting my phone, its like...my baby. But from what I've seen theres a whole lot of potential out there with a rooted Droid.

Could & would you guys help educate me a bit with this? ex. Pros/Cons

:welcome: to Droid Forums. I would suggest you search in the Hacks thread to see what the pros and cons are of rooting. I believe there are some stickies with good information there.

First off, welcome to the forum. Secondly, rooting your phone gives you a crazy potential. I don't root mine, but that's just my personal choice right now, i may end up rooting it later. But i would agree with hookbill, go into the hacks section, there are stickies about many things about rooting. If you still have questions, post in the helps section, and many members should be able to help you with alot of stuff.
