HelixLauncher /HelixLauncher 2

Running Stock 2.0.1 at the moment, and HL1. This is the perfect app for what I wanted for my launcher area! Cant wait to get my warranty replacement (again) so I can toss this in with a 2.1 ROM

So far a whole day of 0 problems. I am really impressed so far. Is there a way to remove the icon label for each app? I really like the clean look of the bottom icons without their little labels.

But then choose Helix Launcher 2 ....its just BIG!

Other than better cut support, what is the advantage of 2 over what we have now? Mine ruins great on 2.0.1, if I do go with a custom ROM, it will likely be Cyanogen, which brought it to everyones attention to begin with hehehe.

I love the look of this, especially the app tray at the bottom, but unfortunately I am going to stop using it until the next update. Whenever I attempt to back out of a program or return to my home screen, it will usually end up on a blank screen and lock up for about 10 seconds or more before everything reappears. It's just enough of an annoyance to make me give up on this for a while.

This actually isn't an issue specific to HelixLauncher, but is due to the time it takes to iterate through all the applications on the system after the home application has been stopped due to memory pressure. See Issue 3075 - android - Optimize (zipalign) applications when installing [Home screen is very slow to launch] - Project Hosting on Google Code

On my phone at least, this launcher is the blame. With it, I have the problem constantly. Without it, I've never had the problem.

I am currently using HL1 on my Droid running 2.1 ESE53. I tried to run HL2 but it just FC'd over and over and over.

Overall though it seems to be working great.

Unrooted, and this feels much smoother and faster, quite impressed, perhaps one day i will root, but i've only had the phone a month and im still figuring out all the goodies lol
