headphone notification in status bar

All of a sudden, the headphone notification in the status bar does not come on when my headphones are plugged in.

did you turn off page buddy for headphones.. im thinking it a setting like that.

Are you using a launcher other than the stock launcher (touchwiz)? If so, open your stock launcher and then go back to your current launcher and plug in the headphones - does it show up now (would also make sure that page buddy is also enabled as mentioned above)...

Where do I find page buddy?

Ah, found it and got the icons back. Only thing is I'm using nova launcher, and that page won't open with nova.
