Headphone Controls?

I want to use my own headphones but with an adapter that has playback controls, similar to how there are adapters you can buy to use your own headphones with an iPod Shuffle.

Does such an animal exist for Droid?

Oh yes, I do hope anyone here could reply to this, because I'm using Droid RAZR and i intend to get Soul by Ludacis SL99 with control talk, but the earphone says "compatible with iPhone/iPod"
