HD Maxx Text Msg Sent And Read Notifications options?

Is there a option to turn on that I know when a text is read by recipient? I see that there's a MSG sent check box option but that only tells me that it was successfully sent to other phone but not opened. My girl friend has a Blackberry that she can tell if it was actually read. Am i missing something or is that option not available with the Droid Razr Maxx HD.
